TIG supports local Charities this Christmas
Due to the pandemic, TIG, like many other companies, is unable to host its regional Christmas parties this year. Instead, it has decided to put the money normally spent on the annual company get-togethers towards some wonderful charities in two of its biggest regions.
In Germany, TIG is making a donation to
SOS Kinderdorf, a non-governmental, independent organisation that is active in 133 countries and is committed to improving the living conditions of socially disadvantaged children, young people and their families by running Children's Villages, which aim "to give children a safe home".
In the UK, TIG is supporting
Small Steps, a charity providing specialist support to parents who have physically disabled children. They attend a group session once per week and the multi-disciplinary team leads them through a structured session designed to help each child achieve the next developmental steps.
Robin van Meeuwen, TIG CEO, says: "We are sorry not to be able to celebrate in person with our wonderful staff this season. However, in times where so many charities are struggling, we are delighted to support some wonderful organisations in the UK and Germany! The pandemic has been very difficult, but it has also shown the good in people - and there's no better way to thank them than by supporting them in their missions to improve the lives of others."
